The principal employees of OSM Investment Company are as follows:

Michael Orwitz, President and Founder

Michael Orwitz is the President and Founder of OSM Investment Company, which was established in 1997. OSM Investment Company is a regional developer, owner and investor in real estate. The company oversees a portfolio of 42 properties consisting of 35 apartment complexes and 7 commercial properties as well as joint venture investments in four self-storage facilities and two boutique hotels.

Mr. Orwitz provides the strategic vision for the company and is involved in oversight of the development, acquisition, financing and management of the real estate portfolio. Prior to forming OSM Investment Company, Mr. Orwitz was Vice President of Acquisitions for National Partnership Investments Corp. Mr. Orwitz is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. Michael Orwitz is also a California licensed General Contractor.

W. Spence Mitchum, Executive Vice President

W. Spence Mitchum is Vice President of OSM Investment Company, and is responsible for acquisitions and development, including all aspects of the development process, including entitlement, community outreach, securing development equity, concept creation, selection and oversight of general contractors and architects,and oversight of the permitting and approvals process. Prior to joining OSM Investment Company, Mr. Mitchum was Assistant Vice President of Asset Management at National Partnership Investments Corp., responsible for the oversight of an affordable housing portfolio in excess of 350 apartment communities throughout the nation. Mr. Mitchum is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.

Justin Khorvash, Vice President of Acquisitions

Justin Khorvash, the Vice President of Acquisitions for OSM Investment Company, is responsible for property acquisitions, concept development, market research and analysis, finance, and negotiating legal contracts including those related to financing, creative design, food and beverage operations, public relations and other legal matters related to the acquisition, development and operation of the asset. Prior to joining OSM Investment Company, Mr. Khorvash was an Analyst at The Macerich Company, a Real Estate Investment Trust located in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Khorvash holds a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.

Tonya Hernandez, Regional Director – Student Housing

Tonya Hernandez has been employed by an affiliate management company, ISM Management Company, for approximately five years. Located in Chico, California, she has been responsible for our successful development of a student-housing portfolio consisting of approximately 8 apartment complexes and 35 single-family homes. Our portfolio of student housing has grown to almost 1,000 beds.

Kathleen Olson, Controller and Human Resource Administrator

Ms. Kathleen Olson serves as Controller and Human Resource Administrator for OSM Investment Company. Ms. Olson is responsible for the accounting, information technology and all matters related to payroll and employee administration. Prior to working for OSM Investment Company, Ms. Olson served as the CFO for Property Management & Development Corporation in Las Vegas, NV and managed a portfolio of approximately 1,000 multi-family apartment units. Ms. Olson holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management from Webster University, St. Louis and a Masters of Science Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Ms. Olson also holds Real Estate Broker’s licenses in CA, NV and TN.

Beverly Stewart, Affordable Housing Compliance Officer

Ms. Beverly Stewart has 38 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping of which eight years were specific to residential and commercial property management. As controller of OSM Investment Company, Ms. Stewart handles all accounting and bookkeeping functions for various corporate entities and partnerships. Ms. Stewart is also in charge of tax credit compliance for 10 affordable housing properties. Prior to working at OSM Investment Company, Ms. Stewart was employed at Harris Properties where she held the position of senior bookkeeper with oversight of 80 apartment and condominium complexes.

While employed at Francis Property Management, Ms. Stewart had direct oversight for all accounting and bookkeeping for 16 apartment complexes and mobile home parks.
