THE HOTEL WILSHIRE

6317 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, California 90048

Prior to the redevelopment, the 41,900 square foot boutique hotel was originally constructed in 1951 as a medical office building. The finished hotel now includes 74 guest rooms on the second through sixth floors and a rooftop penthouse as well as accessory uses including a rooftop deck with dining area, pool, cabanas, fire pit and seating areas. The second floor includes a reception lounge, executive boardroom and business center. Other accessory uses include a full scale commercial kitchen on the roof level and a prep kitchen on the second floor, adjacent to the lounge.

The Hotel Wilshire’s architectural design was created by Killefer Flammang Architects, a well known and highly regarded Los Angeles firm that specializes in adaptive reuse buildings. The hotel’s sleek architectural redesign was then enhanced by interior design firm KNA Design, who created an aesthetically attractive, eclectic yet functional environment within the property.

All aspects of the hotel’s composition were designed to incorporate “green” building and construction elements to meet LEED Silver Certification. LEED is the official Green Building Rating System of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The rating system establishes an internationally recognized benchmark for the design, construction and operation of highly efficient green buildings. Achieving such a designation ensures lower operating costs and provides an increased marketing edge over older hotel properties.

The Hotel Wilshire offers a unique dinning experience at its rooftop restaurant and bar, The Roof on Wilshire, as well as in its lounge on the second floor. Food and beverage service is operated by acclaimed celebrity chef, Eric Greenspan. Food and beverage service is offered for special events in the penthouse hospitality suite, in the boardroom, as well as for in room dining for hotel guests.
